Evil Eye Necklace

Description

Our Evil Eye Necklace is polished with 18K Solid Gold Plating over a sterling base. The sequence of 5- symbolic charms which are known as the “Evil Eye” carry the energy of the Mati. The legend of the Evil eye itself can be traced back to ancient Greek and Roman texts and is also mentioned in the Bible and Quran. As a symbol of protection, the wearer goes forth into each day with the light of the divine upon them, pulling them towards prosperity and shielding them from negative energy.

Care Instructions

18k Gold Vermeil

Vermeil is sterling silver finished with a thick layer of 18k gold. With care, the gold stays bright for years.

  • Remove before swimming, showering, bathing or exercising. Chlorine, salt water and sweat wear down the gold layer over time.
  • Put it on last, after lotion, perfume and hairspray have dried.
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Avoid polishing cloths made for silver, as they can remove the gold.
  • Store each piece separately in its pouch, away from humidity and air. This keeps the silver beneath from tarnishing and stops pieces from scratching one another.
  • Do not use jewelry cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners or abrasive pastes.

14k Yellow Gold

Solid 14k gold won't tarnish or fade, and it is made to be worn every day.

  • Safe to wear daily, but remove before swimming in chlorinated pools and during heavy physical work to avoid scratches and dents.
  • Clean in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth.
  • Store separately from other jewelry. Gold is a soft metal, and harder stones and metals can scratch it.
  • Pieces set with stones should be checked from time to time to make sure the settings are secure.

14k White Gold

White gold is solid gold alloyed with white metals and finished with a rhodium coating for its bright, silvery color.

  • Safe to wear daily, but remove before swimming in chlorinated pools and during heavy physical work.
  • Clean in warm water with a drop of mild dish soap. Brush gently with a soft toothbrush, rinse, and dry with a lint-free cloth.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners, which wear the rhodium finish.
  • With regular wear, the rhodium will soften over time, and a warmer tone from the gold beneath may show. This is natural. A jeweler can re-plate the piece to restore its original finish.
  • Store separately from other jewelry to prevent scratches.
